Job Title: APS6 Lead Project Co-ordinator

About the Role: The APS6 Lead Project Co-ordinator role is an exciting opportunity to join this government, contributing to the digital transformation of this government agency. You will play a key role in managing the OCIO’s vendor portfolio, coordinating ICT procurement activities, and leading a team of professionals to ensure that this agency is supported by innovative, fit-for-need ICT solutions. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership & Team Management: Lead and manage a small team of coordinators and support analysts, ensuring that procurement and program management activities are efficiently executed.
  • Procurement Management: Coordinate the development of key project documentation, including Approach to Market documents, Evaluation Plans, and Reports, ensuring alignment with governance and probity requirements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including Procurement Branch, Legal Counsel, Probity Advisors, and external vendors, to drive procurement activities and maintain strong vendor relationships.
  • Communication & Reporting: Develop and organize materials for meetings, including briefing presentations, updates, and reports. Ensure all meetings are coordinated and probity requirements are met.
  • Negotiation & Vendor Selection: Support negotiations and vendor selection processes, including contract management and performance oversight.
  • Program Oversight: Contribute to the ongoing success of digital initiatives by providing expert advice and supporting ICT investment decisions that align with NDIA’s digital transformation goals.

Essential Criteria:
  1. 2-4 years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on ICT procurement and program management.
  2. Proven leadership skills in managing and developing a small team.
  3. In-depth understanding and experience navigating the Commonwealth’s ICT Investment Framework.
  4. Familiarity with the Digital and ICT Investment Oversight Framework (IOF) and its application to public sector programs.
  5. Experience in preparing and coordinating Approach to Market documents and supporting procurement processes.
  6. Strong experience in supporting tender evaluations, negotiations, and vendor management, including contract negotiations and performance management.
Desirable Criteria:
  1. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on ICT procurement.
  2. Previous experience working with the Digital Transformation Agency (DTA) on ICT procurements.
  3. Familiarity with the Commonwealth resource management framework and its application in the public sector.
  4. A commitment to accessible design & development, with a passion for new ways of thinking about accessibility.
