Job Description: In this role you will take on a key leadership role in shaping and driving the success of our
Data Project Management Office (PMO). In this position, you’ll oversee a talented team of Delivery Managers, Technical Business Analysts, and Project Coordinators to deliver on our
Data & Analytics product roadmap, all while supporting ongoing business-as-usual (BAU) needs.
With a strong focus on transparency and collaboration, you’ll manage a clear pipeline of work, ensuring visibility for both the Data & Analytics Team and wider stakeholders. Your approach will prioritise high-value tasks, driving timely and high-quality deliverables.

Chapter Leads, you’ll lead cross-functional teams to deliver innovative data products and respond to analytical requests, fostering a collaborative, results-driven culture across the agency.

Responsibilities: - Design, implement and manage a Data Project Management Office function, including leading a team of Delivery Managers, Technical Business Analysts and Project Co-ordinators to execute on the Data & Analytics product roadmap, while supporting BAU demand
- Design and manage an Operational Framework including procedures, standards, roles and responsibilities and work management. Continuously review and improve the Operational Framework as required to remain aligned to changing business objectives and strategic direction
- Maintain a published pipeline of work in progress and backlogs, providing visibility to the Data & Analytics Team and customers throughout the agency, including a transparent prioritisation and scheduling mechanism, ensuring the highest value work is being delivered to the highest quality.
- Engage with Chapter Leads to assemble and oversee cross functional teams led by Delivery Managers to deliver data products and ad hoc analytical requests.
Qualifications: - Product Management and Project Management accreditations or qualifications.
- Demonstrated experience in data and analytics product strategy and product design and delivery.
- Experience leading delivery managers coupled with hands-on experience in a product manager and a project manager capacity to define, lead and manage the delivery of data analytics products roadmaps to expected quality standards and with measurable business benefits.
- Experience in defining and implementing operational delivery frameworks including operating procedures, standard templates, prioritisation, tracking and reporting mechanisms and review boards, maintaining alignment of those frameworks to changing business priorities over time.
- Highly organised, has the ability to be pragmatic in the application of frameworks based on a fact based assessment of the deliverable and the associated impact/value/risk.
- Experience in managing technical, professional teams, including recruitment, mentoring and performance management.
- Experience in working in an ambiguous and/or fast paced environments managing multiple changeable priorities and/or stakeholders in parallel. Remaining calm under pressure, reprioritising or escalating appropriately and maintaining good working relationships.
- Experienced in building strong cross business and external relationships and engaging, influencing and securing stakeholder support outside of immediate areas of control.
- Experience working in data businesses focused on data analytics and data management products and services.
