Overview: We are seeking a
project manager with expertise in leading cloud data platform implementations to join one of our clients teams. This role is integral to driving the transformation of our Data & Analytics capability. You will lead the delivery of high-quality business and technical requirements, ensuring they align with the target architecture and business use cases, and act as a trusted voice for stakeholders.
Role Purpose: This project manager will play a critical leadership role in managing a
technical data platform delivery team. Your focus will be on delivering cloud data platform capabilities such as
Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW),
ETL, and
Data Governance, ensuring alignment with business objectives and the seamless integration of the technology solution with business needs. This role offers the opportunity to influence major change and contribute directly to the agency's goals, impacting the lives of people with disabilities and their families.
Key Responsibilities: - Lead and Manage Delivery Teams: Guide a skilled team of data platform engineers to achieve project outcomes while managing risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Schedule and Scope Management: Ensure that project timelines remain aligned with team efforts and external stakeholders. Keep the project schedule on track and address potential risks.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Engage positively with internal and external stakeholders to identify and resolve delivery risks, and ensure business and technical requirements are met.
- Documentation and Quality Assurance: Ensure traceability and maintain comprehensive documentation to streamline the review and approval process of deliverables.
- Technical Review and Solution Design: Provide feedback on business and technical design documents, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical outcomes.
About the Team: You will be working within the
Data and Analytics Branch, supporting the agency's mission of improving data reporting, insights, and business performance. This branch builds and maintains the
enterprise data warehouse, develops
Business Intelligence (BI) solutions, and designs data governance strategies to enable data literacy and performance improvements.
About the Project: The project involves the
design, build, and implementation of cloud-based data platforms, including EDW, ETL, and data governance solutions, aimed at enhancing the agency's data capabilities.

Essential Criteria: - Demonstrated expertise in leading cloud data platform implementation teams to achieve business objectives and deliver results.
- Proven ability to manage data implementation resources, ensuring high-quality output while balancing timeline pressures.
- Experience leading delivery outcomes as part of large-scale transformation programs using industry-standard methodologies (e.g., Agile, Prince2, PMBOK).
- Expertise in implementing cloud EDW and/or ETL applications, with experience in data architecture (e.g., data models, transformation logic, data governance, security).
- Proven experience in managing relationships with stakeholders to identify and mitigate delivery risks.
- Expertise in maintaining project schedules, identifying dependencies, and ensuring quality outcomes across multiple delivery teams.
Desirable Criteria: - Experience with modern cloud EDW platforms (e.g., Snowflake, DataBricks).
- Understanding of data security policies and ability to extract actionable requirements.
- Familiarity with project scheduling and documentation tools (e.g., MS Project, Confluence, JIRA).
