BI Insights Analyst is needed for one of our government funded clients who help to give back to the community here in Australia.
Leveraging advanced analytics, the organisation aims to drive strategic decisions and improve outcomes. They are currently seeking a talented BI Insights Analyst to join their team for a 12-month contract.
  
Role Overview: The BI Insights Analyst will be responsible for analysing complex datasets and generating valuable insights. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in SQL, SAS, and Tableau, as well as experience with cloud data warehouses such as Azure, GCP, or AWS. This role is critical in supporting data-driven decision-making within the government sector.
This role will suit a mid-level BI Analyst with strong technical capabilities, good commercial acumen and a passion for insights.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyse complex datasets using SQL and SAS to extract meaningful insights.
  • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and visualisations in Tableau.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and provide actionable insights.
  • Design and implement data models and queries for efficient data retrieval.
  • Optimise and maintain existing BI solutions and reporting processes.
  • Support data migration and integration efforts into cloud data warehouses.
  • Document processes and best practices to enhance team efficiency.
  Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a BI Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
  • Proficiency in SQL and SAS for data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong skills in Tableau for data visualisation.
  • Experience with cloud data warehouses (Azure, GCP, or AWS).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey insights to stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in data modelling and ETL processes.
  • Knowledge of additional programming languages (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with data governance and best practices.
