Business Intelligence Analyst - 12 month Day Rate Contract Business Intelligence Analyst (SAS, SQL, Python and R) role for Australians largest federal government agency.
In this role, you will play a key part in delivering a range of projects focused on a large-scale digital transformation initiative. This role sits within the Data and Analytics Branch supporting the agency by providing high quality data and reporting whilst translating insights into measurable business performance improvements.
You will have the opportunity to work with cross-functional teams and help deliver data that will help build their data literacy capability across the branch and regions
Eligibility: You MUST be an Australian Citizen.
Location: NSW, VIC, QLD, ACT
Key Responsibilities: - Extract and manipulate data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them
into analytical solutions - Design and build reports, dashboards and data products that support business processes and
deliver business insight. - Drive best practice across the Analytics Chapter to ensure consistent analytics methodology and
approach. - Build, develop and maintain code base.
- Mento and lead junior analysts.
Essential criteria: - Advanced programming expertise (eg. SAS and/or SQL)
- Proven ability to extract and manipulate data whilst maintaining accuracy and consistency
Desirable Criteria: - Knowledge of other programming languages (Python, R etc)
- Experience in using SAS Viyas
- Top Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, ability to connect data with business implications, and the ability to work autonomously in a remote setting.
